FROM THE BIG SCREEN TO THE HIGH SEAS:
Shrek to Set Sail

“Hey Shrek, what are you going to do now that you’re done making movies?”

“I’m going… on a cruise!”

Turns out “Shrek Forever After” isn’t the final chapter after all.  Because Royal Caribbean and Dreamworks have just announced that they’re bringing the ogre on board. And he’s bringing a lot of friends.

This fall's debut of the Allure of the Seas will also be the debut of a new cast of characters who will start sailing as well.   Set to share the title of world’s largest and most revolutionary cruise ship with its sister, Oasis of the Seas, when the Allure of the Seas sails in December 2010, she’ll do so with the stars of Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and “How to Train Your Dragon”.

There will be parades and special events like the “How to Train Your Dragon” ice show, Shrek, Fiona, Puss In Boots showing up at dinner, Kung Fu Panda posing for pictures, Alex, Mort and the Penguins in the Madagascar Aqua-Show, special Adventure Ocean children’s activities, games and adventures and of course they’ll all be in the movies on in-cabin TVs and even on Royal Caribbean’s new 3D screens in the ships’ theaters.

.

After launching on Allure, DreamWorks characters and entertainment will join Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas.

SOCIAL MEDIA TAKES TO THE HIGH SEAS.

Plan your Facebook or Twitter Cruise in 5 easy stepsYou've got something to say and people who want to listen (and maybe even learn), right?  Taking it a step further and share your product or information by hosting a cruise. Gotta Go Cruises makes it as easy as tweeting.

1) Test the waters with a quick survey to your friends/followers. Ask if they'd be interested in taking a (fill in the blank) cruise.
2) Once you've determined that, "Heck yeah!, this idea will float", we'll zero in a ship and sailing date (paying careful attention to just what you'll need - a culinary arts theater?  Movie theater?  Meeting space with audio/video? A stage?)
3) Tweet the basic details with contact info for Gotta Go so we can help your fans and followers make their reservations.
4) Plan your shipboard events (allowing plenty of time to explore off ship on port days)
5) Pack your bags and get ready for a wild success and a whole lot of fun.

Based on the number of passengers that sign up, you can earn extra discounts toward your own cruise and/or build in additional revenue along with the great exposure and a tremendous opportunity to meet your friends, fans or followers face to face.  Heck, the same idea holds true for your family, club members or neighbors.  For more information or to get started, email GottaEMail@aol.com ... and check us out on at Twitter.com/GottaGoCruises
